The course is 5726 yards long over 18 holes. The course is set out in a bowl of hills. The greens are excellent and benefit from a watering system. Fairways are undulating and the views are stunning from the raised tees of the 8th and 17th holes.
This lovely Welsh course is situated on the outskirts of the town.
The Club celebrated its Centenary in 2004 but golf was first played on Machynlleth Common in 1892. James Braid completed the nine hole layout in 1905 and in 1912, a match was played at Machynlleth involving the legendary Harry Vardon, James Braid and J.H.Taylor. There are photographs of the event in the clubhouse.
